The SCHOOL
Background: Oxford Japanese School was established in 1997 and set up privately for children with a Japanese family background, to enhance their knowledge of Japanese. It has been highly successful in strengthening these children's language skills, emphasizing on writing and reading skills. At the moment, there are 65 pupils (age range 5-18). Some native Japanese children attend the school with the specific aim of returning to the Japanese Educational System.The students have produced excellent results in GCSE and A-level exams.

Current situation / future aim: The school has now been expanded, in order to meet with a wide variety of demands from students from primary to secondary schools who are interested in the language and culture of Japan. The school offers classes for students at all levels.
